The trailer showcases all the staple 'Scream' tropes: nerds who are suspiciously well-informed on the habits of serial killers, unsuspecting teenaged girls, and creepy unknown callers whose calls are indulged for far too long.

Wes Craven has returned to helm the project, while Courtney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell will reprise their roles from the previous films. The filming was completed before Cox and Arquette separated. The rest of the ensemble cast will be filled out with younger names like Hayden Panetierre, Rory Culkin, and Emma Roberts. The trailer also features Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell as a pair of couch queens who are almost comically detached from the bloody horror that is going on around them.
