"Mom Prom" in suburban Detroit. "I just zipped it up, and it fits!"

Now in its sixth year, the ladies-only gathering encourages women to dive into their closets and pull out prom, bridesmaid and even wedding dresses – that are decades old in some cases – for a night of dancing, drinking and reminiscing while raising money for worthy causes. The event has brought in thousands of dollars for cancer research and charitable groups, and is inspiring similar events in other states.

"That's why we have prom," organizer Betsy Crapps told the cheering group of more than 100 women as they jammed to 1980s music and beyond Friday, proudly donning a metallic rainbow of chiffon, satin and sequins. "We're changing the world, ladies, one prom at a time."

Danielle Clauson of the Concordia University women's basketball team did on Monday night against College of Idaho.

With the score tied at 61 and .7 seconds left, Clauson was set to inbound the ball under the basket. Clauson noticed that nobody was defending the pass and there was a player on College of Idaho in front of her not facing the ball.

Clauson caught the defender off guard, threw the ball off her opponent's back and retrieved it right away. Then she quickly knocked down a 10-foot, game-winning jumper at the buzzer.

"World Flirtation League," which ranked cities by the number of online flirtations initiated per month on the popular social networking and dating site Badoo.com. Officials analyzed 12 million "flirtatious" contacts made on the site over the course of a month, with 108 million unique users flirting in 180 different countries.
Moscow came in second place, while Rome trailed at number 8. London and New York came in at a measly 57 and 89, respectively.
